13-year-old arrested for stabbing another teen in Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – A 13-year-old has been arrested and charged for a stabbing that took place during a fight with another teenager.

According to the Atlantic City Police Department, on Monday, at around 5:56 pm, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of North Pennsylvania Avenue.

Upon their arrival, police located a 13-year-old who had been stabbed multiple times.

He was treated by responding police officers and emergency medical services technicians at the scene before being transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.

“Officers rendered medical aid to the victim by applying a compression gauze, and a chest seal to the puncture wound until Emergency Medical Personnel arrived on the scene,” the Atlantic City Police Department said in a statement today. “EMS continued treating the juvenile before transporting him by ambulance to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, for treatment of his injury.”

Later, the attacker surrendered himself to police, where he was charged and released, pending a future court date.
