Upper Marlboro man charged for stabbing death of stepson

UPPER MARLBORO, MD – Prince Georges County homicides investigating the death of 52-year-old Kelly McClary have identified the man’s stepfather, Jamie Porras, 68, as a suspect in the murder.

According to police, on Friday, officers responded to a home on Queen Anne Bridge Road in response to a call regarding an assault and stabbing.

Upon their arrival, police found McClary lying on the ground with obvious blunt-force trauma and stab wounds.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

During their investigation, detectives found that Porras had fled the scene prior to their arrival. He was later arrested at a different unidentified location by police.

Porras was charged with first and second-degree murder. He is in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
