82-year-old woman shoved to the ground and robbed in Brooklyn

On 10/16/22 at approx. 6:00 AM, on the corner of Miller Ave and New Lots Ave in Brooklyn, the suspect approached an 82-year-old female and forcibly removed her money, which caused her to fall to the ground.

NEW YORK, NY – An 82-year-old woman who was attempting to help an unidentified man by giving him money was robbed and shoved to the ground in an attack that took place early Saturday morning.

The woman appeared to be offering the man money, but instead of taking her charity, he took advantage of her goodwill and forcibly snatched the elderly woman’s purse. The woman tried to hold on to her purse but was shoved to the ground. The suspect fled the scene.

The incident happened at around 6:00 am Saturday at the corner of Miller Avenue and New Lots Avenue in Brooklyn.

The woman only suffered minor injuries in the fall.
