Scooter bandits rob two people in the Bronx

NEW YORK, NY – Using scooters to commit crimes in New York City is on the rise. The small and light but speedy vehicles are excellent getaway vehicles that can weave in and out of traffic and even drive on sidewalks.

Last week, a group of scooter bandits committed two robberies in the Bronx.

On October 10th, at around 2:39 pm, the suspects depicted in a video released by the New York City Police Department pulled a gun on a 34-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man before robbing them.

That robbery took place in the area of Sedgwick and Hillman Avenue in the Bronx.

Thirty minutes later, the group pulled up to a 21-year-old man, pointed a gun at him and ripped off a chain around his neck, and robbed him of other personal belongings before fleeing.

The New York City Police Department is now asking for the Public’s assistance in identifying the three suspects who committed the crimes while robbing two scooters.
