One killed in Garden State Parkway crash Friday night

LITTLE EGG HARBOR TWP, NJ – One person was reported dead by the New Jersey State Police after a multi-vehicle crash on the Garden State Parkway Friday night near mile marker 59.3. New Jersey State troopers and local fire and EMTs responded to the scene of the crash in Little Egg Harbor Township.

Police did not say what caused the accident that occurred at around 9 pm in the southbound lanes of the GSP. All southbound traffic was diverted during the police investigation.

Reports from the scene showed two sedans, including a light-colored and blue-colored one that was overturned. A debris field was spread across all three lanes and both shoulders of the road.

At this time, the police did not report any other injuries.
