17-Year-Old Arrested For D.C. Armed Carjacking

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police have made an arrest in a 2021 armed carjacking cold case.

On January 24th, 2021 an armed carjacker approached a victim seated in a vehicle, displayed a handgun, and ordered the victim to give him the vehicle. The victim complied and the suspect left the scene. The vehicle was later found. This incident happened at 9:46 pm on the 2700 Block of 7th Street in Northeast D.C.

Now that suspect has been arrested and charged with the carjacking.

A 17-year-old juvenile male of DC was arrested by a DC Superior Court custody order on October 19th.

Police did not release his name.
