2-year-old stabbed multiple times in head by his own grandmother

Alisha Caver, 56, suspect in stabbing of 2-year-old grandson in Detroit.

A two-year-old boy is recovering after being stabbed multiple times in the head last weekend. Detectives in Detroit have identified his attacker, his 56-year-old grandmother Alisha Caver. According to police, Caver stabbed the boy several times on the side of his head at around 1:30 am inside their St. Antoine Gardens apartment.

The boy was rushed to the hospital with extensive injuries and loss of blood but is now recovering in stable condition.

Caver was charged with first-degree child abuse. She could be facing up to life in prison if convicted.
