Man dragged and killed by subway train near Central Park

Train service in Manhattan was delayed after a 20-year-old man was struck by a train in the Columbus Circle station near Central Park on Monday. The New York City Police Department belive the man’s clothing or backpack got stuck in the closing train doors.

When the train left the station, the man was dragged by the train, killing him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident happened at around 5pm on the southbound 1 train.
