Suspects arrested for murder of two women, man in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, PA – Two weeks ago, four people were shot and three were killed in a shooting that took place on the 300 block of Cedar Avenue. Killed in the gunfire were Betty Averytt, Jacquelyn Mihalic, and John Hornezes. A fourth male victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment and survived.

Today, the Pittsburgh Police Department announced the arrest of Jaylone Hines, 21. Hayes was charged wth two counts of criminal homicide, aggravated assault and illegal possession of a firearm.

Charron Troutman, 19, was charged with one count of criminal homicide, one count of aggravated assault, two counts of criminal conspiracy and illegal possession of a firearm.

Troutman and Hines are currently being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
