Man who burned down Queens sports bar’s outdoor dining area arrested

NEW YORK – A man who set fire to a Queens restaurant’s outdoor dining area and caused damage to two nearby vehicles has been arrested by the New York City Police Department.

Firefighters from FDNY responded to the scene outside Leo’s Sports Bar at 84-19 Roosevelt Avenue in Queens on Tuesday.

Oscar Vidal was charged with four counts of arson, criminal mischief and intent to damage property.

A video of the incident was published today by the FDNY showing Vidal approaching the business and setting the fire.
