16-year-old robbed at knifepoint in Glen Burnie

GLEN BURNIE – A 16-year-old boy doing what he thought was the right thing for a stranger in need was robbed at knifepoint Saturday morning.

According to police, officers responded to the report of an armed robbery on the 600 block of Crain Highway North in Glen Burnie at around 3 am.

“A 16-year-old male was walking past the U-Storage when a male suspect asked for a cigarette and cash. The victim gave the suspect $2.00,” police said in a report. “The suspect was not satisfied with that and threatened the victim with a knife.”

The teen was able to flee the armed robber who fled south on Crain Highway. Responding officers were unable to locate the suspect.

He was described as a black male, black hair with gray/white streaks, tall, thin, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, and gray pants
