Newark police searching for missing 80-year-old man

NEWARK, DE – The Newark Police Department is attempting to locate James Greiss, 80, of Newark.

On November 7, 2022, at about 2318 hours, the Newark Police Department was contacted by a person expressing concern for the welfare of James Greiss.  Greiss was last known to be at the Newark Free Library on Library Avenue on November 7 at about 1500 hours. Greiss’s condition is such that there is a serious concern for his welfare.

Greiss is a white male, 5’6”, 170 lbs, gray hair and brown eyes.  He is not known to be operating a vehicle.

Anyone with information about Greiss’s location is asked to call the Newark Police Department at (302) 366-7111 or 9-1-1.
