Fire at Gloucester ShopRite trailer extinguished

GLOUCESTER TWP, NJ – Firefighters with the Gloucester Township Fire Department and multiple surrounding departments responded to a trailer fire at the ShopRite on Blackwood-Clement Road on Saturday for a reported trailer fire.

Upon arrival, first responders reported heavy smoke and flames coming from a refrigerated trailer at the rear of the building.

“The fire quickly spread to the rear of the building. All occupants were safely evacuated from the business, and one employee was transported to a local hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation,” GTPD said in a statement.

At this time, the fire is not deemed suspicious, and it is being investigated by the Camden County Fire Marshals Office.
