Arrest made In Shooting Death Of 13-Year-Old Girl in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – Last Monday, a teen girl was shot on the 1400 Block of East Fayette Street in Southeast Baltimore. She was transported to Johns Hopkins Pediatrics Hospital, where she was in grave condition. 13-year-old Kelsey Washington was declared brain dead and succumbed to her injuries on November 12th.

Baltimore Homicide Detectives obtained a video and photos of the suspect.

35-year-old Tavon Battle was arrested on Tuesday at his home in Maryland by the Warrant Apprehension Task Force. Battle was interviewed by the Baltimore Police Department. He has since been charged with 1st and 2nd Degree Murder. Detectives said that the murder investigation remains open and ongoing.
