Trenton aggravated assault suspect charged

TRENTON, NJ – On Monday, November 14th, at approximately 0243 hours, police responded to 409 Breunig Avenue on a report of aggravated assault.

The victim was found complaining of pain in his body and head after a verbal disagreement turned physical.

According to police, the suspect struck the victim about his head with a blunt object.

An investigation was conducted by detectives from the Mercer County Shooting Response Team (SRT).

“After combing through evidence, reviewing video footage and extensive investigative work, Detectives were able to identify the suspect,” police said.

Mercer County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Response Team Detectives and SRT Detectives successfully executed an arrest/search warrant on Friday and arrested Samuel Perez, 43, for Aggravated Assault, Criminal Mischief and related weapons offenses.
