Man catches 67 pound goldfish while fishing

Andy Hacket has caught one of the world’s largest ever goldfish. The 67-pound, 4-ounce goldfish that is known locally as Carrot is a hybrid species of leather carp and koi carp.

The fish was caught at the Bluewater Lakes fishery in France. Carrot is 15 years old according to Bluewater Lakes staff. She was discovered last year when he was estimated to have been over 60 pounds. After catching Carrot, Hacket set him free.

Bluewater lakes is a fishery that allows anglers to catch large catches in their fully stocked waters. The staff eluded that this was not the first time saying, “Never get bored of seeing her go back.”

Carrot was caught on November 3rd.
