Toms River Jingle Bells Run 5k returns Sunday

TOMS RIVER, NJ – The annual Toms River Police Foundation’s Jingle Bells Run 5k race and walk is returning this weekend.

The event kicks off at 2:45 pm with a kiddie dash, followed by a one-mile fun run at 3 pm. The main event, the 5k run starts at 3:30 pm.

The course will take runners through historic Downtown Toms River.

“The 23rd Annual Jingle Bell Run will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022, along a relatively flat course through downtown Toms River and scenic neighborhoods. Proceeds from the race will help fund scholarships for local high school students as well as spotlight local organizations in need. Bring your friends! Bring your family! Bring on the festivities,” the Toms River Police Foundation said in a flyer for the event.

Proceeds for the run are used to fund scholarships for township high school students.

The Toms River Police Foundation is a joint venture between the Toms River Police Department and local businesses and government agencies.
