Police seek public’s assistance to identify armed robbers at 7-11 in Silver Spring

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating a commercial armed robbery that occurred on Monday, November 14, 2022, at a 7-Eleven in Silver Spring. Detectives have released surveillance video of the male suspects and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying them.

SILVER SPRING, MD – Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man who committed an armed robbery of a 7-11 in Silver Spring on November 10th.

Police have released surveillance video of the male suspects and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying them.

According to the Montgomery County Police Department, officers from the 3rd District responded to a report of a robbery in the 10200 block of New Hampshire Ave. at approximately 3:44 a.m.

“According to the preliminary investigation conducted by detectives, two masked suspects entered the business,” police said in a statement. “An employee was ordered to the floor by the suspect, who produced a handgun, announced the robbery, and displayed the weapon. A cash drawer was then ripped from the register by the same suspect, and the two suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.”

The first suspect is described as a Black male, 20-30 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a slim build. All of his clothing was black, and he wore Nike sneakers.

The second suspect is described as a Black male, 20-30 years old, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, and of heavy build. He wore a black hoodie and camouflage pants.
