NEW YORK, NY – If you use the Queensboro Bridge for your evening commute, you may want to plan an alternate route tonight as all eastbound lanes on the lower level shut down due to a vehicle fire.
“Due to a vehicle fire, all eastbound lanes on the lower level of the Queensboro Bridge are closed. Expect delays and consider alternate routes of travel,” the NYPD said minutes ago.
The length of the closure is unknown at this time, but residual delays are anticipated to last through the evening rush.
