NEW YORK – The driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal hit and run Sunday morning in the area of West 24th Street and Seventh Avenue in Chelsea has been captured and arrested.
New York City Police Department detectives said the crash occurred at around 1:20 am when the driver of a passing Infiniti sedan struck and killed a man riding his e-bike on West 24h Street.
The victim was taken to Bellvue Hospital where he later died. A 24-year-old male was arrested by police.
At this time, police have not said what charges the man is facing. They have not released his name to the public.
