14-year-old boy shot and killed after birthday party at local Elks Lodge

CAMDEN, NJ – A 14-year-old boy was shot and killed shortly after leaving a birthday party at the Elks Lodge on Mount Ephraim Avenue in Camden Saturday night.

According to police, the shooting happened at around 9:32 in the 1800 block of Mt. Ephraim Avenue. The teen had attended a birthday party at the nearby Elks Lodge.

Police said the boy was found unconscious with a gunshot wound on Mt. Ephraim Avenue. He was taken to Cooper Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

Police did not release any information regarding the shooting and at this time have no suspects in custody.
