66-year-old man beaten and carjacked in Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA – A 66-year-old man was beaten during a carjacking on Winter Street last week. According to police, on Monday, at approximately 12:30am, the victim, a 66-year-old male, was on the 900 block of Winter Street when he exited his silver Lexus RX 350 to remove the chain on his parking spot.

“While removing the chain, three unknown males wearing black clothing and face masks jumped into the victim’s vehicle,” a spokesperson for the department said. “When the victim did not let go of the vehicle door, two of the suspects exited the vehicle and began to punch and kick the victim.”

The man was able to flee his attackers, but they fled the scene heading south on North 10th Street in his Lexus.

The victim’s white iPhone 12 was also taken with the vehicle. The man was treated for minor scratches on his hands and legs.
