Police seeking man wanted for shooting woman Tuesday night in Harford County

Edgewood, MD – Investigators with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a man suspected of shooting a 46-year-old woman in Edgewood on Monday. Police say Jamar Wise, 42, of Towson is their prime suspect.

Police responded to the report of a domestic disturbance in the 2800 block of Majesty Lane in Edgewood at 5:12 p.m.

“Upon arrival, deputies located an adult female, suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Deputies immediately initiated life-saving treatment until the emergency services arrived and transported the victim to a trauma center,” police said.

Detectives were on scene gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.

“As part of the investigation, detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office supported investigators from the Forensic Services Unit,” the agency reported. “As the investigation progressed rapidly, Jamar Wise, 42, of Towson was identified as a suspect.”

According to an early investigation, Wise had previously been in a relationship with the victim. The victim has been identified as Kisha Blackwell, 46 of Edgewood. The suspect is believed to be driving a dark colored minivan and could be in the Baltimore County area.

“Please do not approach Wise,” police said, “Call 911.”
