NYPD investigating gender-based hate crime, assault in Soho

Do you know this guy? On 12/12/22 at 7:45 PM, near Canal St & Broadway, a 24-year-old man was approached by this man who punched him in the face while making anti-sexual orientation statements.

NEW YORK, NY – Police in lower Manhattan are investigating a sexual-orientation-based hate crime against a victim in Soho.

According to police, on December 12th, at around 7:45 pm, an unknown male suspect approached the victim and began shouting at him.

Police said as the man was making anti-sexual orientation statements, he punched the victim in the face.

Today, police released a video of the suspect wanted in what is now being called a sex-based hate crime by the NYPD.
