One stabbed in the head in East Village on New Year’s Eve

NEW YORK, NY – Crime did not take time off to celebrate the New Year in New York City. At around 10:10 am, a verbal dispute in Manhattan’s East Village ended with a stabbing.

Police are now searching for the attacker involved in the assault. On Tuesday, police released video surveillance footage of the alleged attack.

According to the NYPD, the incident happened in front of 133 Avenue A when one of the two men involved in a dispute pulled a knife and stabbed the other in the head.

The victim was treated for a laceration. The suspect fled the scene on foot.
