MEXICO CITY (Reuters) – General Motors discussed plans to produce only electric vehicles at its Ramos Arizpe plant in northern Mexico, the country’s economy ministry said in a tweet on Tuesday, following a meeting with the U.S. carmaker.

(This story has been corrected to remove reference to 5,000 new jobs after the government officially clarified these were 4,500 jobs already created at separate plants over the course of the past four)
