Man pulled woman’s hair out in unprovoked assault in Tribeca

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is searching for a male suspect who assaulted a woman in Tribeca on Sunday near the intersection of Greenwich Street and Park Place.

At around 4:16, detectives with NYPD’s 1st Precinct reported the male suspect approached the woman, grabbed her hair, then pulled her to the ground.

The woman was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where she was treated for a fractured foot, fractured finger and a serious bruise to her elbow. She also reported hair loss from the force of the pull during the assault.

Police said the attack was provoked and the woman did not know the suspect. She was listed in stable condition after the attack.
