MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, MD – A 13-year-old child was arrested in connection with a carjacking that took place on December 20th in the parking lot of the Montgomery Village Shopping Center.

Montgomery County police officers arrived at the shopping center at around 7:45 pm after the juvenile approached an adult male victim with a knife, demanding his vehicle.

“The juvenile pulled out a knife and demanded the key to the Ford. The victim did not comply with the juvenile’s demand,” the MCPD said today. “At that moment, a vehicle drove by the area, which caused the juvenile to run away from the scene.”
