NYC DOE employee charged for leaving scene of accident

NEW YORK, NY – A 53-year-old New York City Department of Education employee was arrested on Thursday by officers from the NYPD’s 52nd Precint.

According to the NYPD, Eric Morales was charged for leaving the scene of an accident where there was an injury.

The NYPD did not release any further details at this time.

Earlier in the day, the NYPD arrested NYC Department of Corrections officer Amin Ahmmad, 44, for criminal contempt.

A third New York City public employee was arrested on Thursday. Shante Washington, 33, who works for the New York City Housing Authority, was arrested and charged for assault and harassment.

The three incidents were not related.
