Big rig crashes into gas station causing roof collapse

RAWLINGS, MD -A tractor-trailer crashed into a gas station on McMullen Highway in Rawlings on Friday.

According to the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office, the tractor-trailer had left the roadway and collided with several gas pumps. The structure covering the gas pumps had been struck in the collision, causing the roof to collapse onto the tractor.

No injuries were reported within the gas station, but the driver was taken to the hospital for treatment.

He was identified as Steve Sisler, 49, of Elkins, West Virginia.

Sisler was extracted from the vehicle by first responders.
