One person shot in Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – A 20-year-old male victim was shot in broad daylight in Atlantic City on Friday. According to police, officers arrived at the 3900 block of Ventnor Avenue at around 2 pm for the report of a shooting via the city’s ShotSpotter gunshot alert system.

When they arrived, they located a 20-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

“Evidence of gunfire was also located at the scene,” police reported.

The victim was transported by ambulance to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, for treatment of injuries that are considered non-life threatening.
