Police respond to reported gun during incident at high school in Rockville

ROCKVILLE, MD – Police are investigating an incident that occurred on Thursday at Richard Montgomery High School.

At around 2 pm, Rockville City Police Department officers arrived at the school after it was reported that a handgun was displayed during an incident involving a dispute with students from a neighboring school.

β€œIt was reported that a handgun was allegedly displayed during the incident, which occurred off school property,” the Rockville City Police Department said.

The school was put on lockdown while police investigated. An investigation failed to yield a gun. The lockdown was lifted and students were dismissed without incident.
