Do you know him? Columbus police searching for bank robber

COLUMBUS, OH – Detectives with the Columbus Police Department are asking the public to help identify a suspect wanted for a bank robbery this weekend.

On Saturday, police responded to the Bank of America Branch located on Georgesville Square Drive after it was robbed moments earlier.

According to police, the suspect handed the teller a note demanding money while gesturing that he had a weapon inside his coat.

“The employee complied and handed the suspect an unknown amount of money in an envelope. The suspect was last seen running towards I-270,” the CPD said in a statement today.

The suspect was described as a dark-skinned male, approximately 25 to 35 years old, 5’8” to 6’1”, wearing a black North Face coat, black hat, and a scarf covering part of his face.
