Teen charged for sexual assault at Alantic City High School

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – A teenager that attended Atlantic City High School has been arrested for a sexual assault he committed last January.

According to police, on January 27, 2022, a female student reported behind sexually assaulted by a male student at the school.

Police investigating the incident identified a 16-year-old male suspect after getting witness testimony and reviewing surveillance video footage.

“Upon return of a forensic analysis of the collected evidence from the investigation, charges were approved by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office on January 12, 2023, for the arrest of the 16-year-old suspect,” the ACPD said.

On January 13, the suspect was arrested in Galloway Township by Detectives of the Atlantic City Police Department with assistance from the Galloway Township Police Department.

The juvenile was remanded to Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center. The public is reminded that charges are mere allegations, and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
