Female bank robber had second thoughts about robbing bank demanded note back, fled

GLEN BURNIE, MD – Police are searching for a woman who attempted to rob the Wells Fargo Bank on Ritchie Highway Wednesday evening.

At around 5:00 p.m., a black woman wearing a blonde wig, denim hat, and jacket, black “Champion” t-shirt, black pants, a yellow surgical mask entered the bank and approached the teller.

Then something happened. Shey handed the teller a demand note and then asked for it back, leaving the bank empty-handed.

“The suspect slid a note across the counter, directing the teller to give her money and not to sound the alarm,” the Anne Arundel Police Department said. “As the teller was complying with the suspect’s demands, the suspect asked for the note back and walked out of the bank without receiving any money from the teller.”
