Brooklyn man shot and killed outside funeral home while attending aunt’s wake

NEW YORK, NY – A man attending his aunt’s funeral service at Grace Funeral Chapes in Cypress Hills was shot and killed while standing outside the front door at around 7 pm on Wednesday.

Tyrone Johnson, 40, was shot multiple times, according to police, outside the North Conduit Boulevard funeral home.

“Upon arrival, officers observed a 40-year-old male with gunshot wounds to his torso.  EMS responded to the location and transported the individual to Jamaica Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased,” detectives with the 75th Precinct reported late Wednesday night.

A second victim was also shot in the hand according to witnesses.

At this time, no arrests have been made.
