18-year-old old charged for fatal December crash

SEWICKLEY HEIGHTS, PA – Police have made an arrest in a fatal crash that killed one woman and injured another in December.

Earlier today, Allegheny County Police announced that 18-year-old Luke Flowers had been arrested on charges relating to the December fatal motor vehicle accident in Sewickley Heights.

The single vehicle collision occurred in the 500 block of Fern Hollow Road. The vehicle left the roadway and came to rest approximately 30 feet from the edge of the roadway.

Flowers, the driver of the vehicle, was uninjured. Two female passengers were transported to area hospitals where one later died.

Flowers was charged with homicide by vehicle while DUI, aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI, involuntary manslaughter, driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances, and traffic violations. Flowers turned himself over to the Allegheny County Police this morning, and awaits his arraignment in the County Jail.
