Suspect arrested for Tuesday murder in Millville

MILLVILLE, NJ – Police have arrested 47-year-old Thomas Baker, Jr. of Millville for the murder of a 42-year-old man on Tuesday.

According to the New Jersey State Police, troopers were dispatched to the area of Newport Road in Millville after receiving 911 calls regarding gunshots.

When they arrived, officers found 42-year-old Lequint G. Allen with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Inspira Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Baker was charged with murder and various weapons charges.

Investigators determined the shooting occurred as the result of an argument between the two men.
