Teens caught in stolen vehicle at Martin County 7-Eleven

MARTIN COUNTY, FL – Deputies with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office t arrested two teens after a vehicle they were driving had been reported stolen earlier.

According to the MCSO, Zion Lewis, 18 of Coral Springs, and Izayah Drapin, 16, of Miramar, drove through Martin County in a vehicle with a “be on the look out for” (BOLO).

Martin County deputies followed the vehicle as it pulled into the 7-Eleven on Martin Highway and High Meadows to fill up.

“Deputies utilized a tactical parking maneuver to make the felony stop on the car. One of the suspects was wearing a mask and refused to exit the car,” the agency said. “He eventually complied to commands and was arrested. The pair is wanted in connection to a carjacking in Broward County.”

Deputies are not sure why the group was in Martin County, but cautioned residents that the vehicle was involved in an alleged armed carjacking in Broward County.

Zion Lewis and Izayah Drapin were charged with felony grand theft of an auto and taken to the Martin County Jail. Additional charges are pending.
