New York City Police Department

NEW YORK, NY – A 44-year-old man was pistol-whipped and robbed in the Bronx last a month ago, but detectives with the city’s 41st Precinct are not giving up on the case. Police are still searching for a light-skinned male suspect wearing a large black and gray jacket and a balaclava ski mask that assaulted and robbed the victim.

On Saturday, January 14, at around 10 pm, a 44-year-old male was walking in front of 870 East 162nd Street when he was approached by an unknown individual.

“The individual displayed a firearm and demanded money. When the victim did not comply, the individual struck the victim multiple times about the head with the firearm,” the NYPD reported. “The individual then fled on foot. EMS responded and transported the victim to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition.”

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
