Two juveniles charged for armed carjacking in Upper Marlboro, high-speed pursuit to D.C.

Washington, D.C. – Police have arrested and charged two juvenile suspects in connection with a gunpoint armed carjacking that occurred Monday in Upper Marlboro.

According to detectives with the Prince George’s County Police Department, two 17-year-old male suspects committed an armed robbery at around midnight in the area of Sansbury Road in Upper Marlboro.

The suspects were later seen by police driving the stolen Toyota Camry in the area of Wheeler Road and Southern Avenue in Oxon Hill.

Police initiated a traffic stop, but the suspects fled, leading police into Washington, D.C. where the vehicle became disabled and the suspects were taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit.

A loaded gun with the serial numbers removed was located in the vehicle. The teens were arrested and charged by Metro Police officers and are awaiting extradition back to Maryland to be served with charges there.
