Boyfriend charged for murder of Columbus woman

COLUMBUS, OH – The Columbus Police Department has charged 33-year-old Javier Inrio with murder after he allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend inside their Columbus home.

On Friday, police arrived at the couple’s home on the 600 block of Kimball Place after receiving a report of a shooting through 911.

“Upon arrival, officers located Josephine Banks suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The 24-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries and was pronounced dead a few hours later,” police reported.

At this time, police have not revealed a motive in the murder.
