Columbus police arrest suspect wanted for murder

COLUMBUS, OH – Police in Columbus have announced an arrest in the murder of a 33-year-old man on January 6th.

Police charged 42-year-old Ron Robinson as the man who has been identified as the suspect in a deadly shooting that occurred last month on the west side of Columbus.

“In the case of Justin Douglas’ death, Ron Robinson has been arrested and charged with murder,,” a spokesperson for the Columbus Police Department said today. “Several Columbus Police officers responded to an unknown complaint in the 3600 block of West Horizons Drive on January 6, 2023. While on the way, officers learned that a shooting had just occurred there.”


After arriving at the scene, officers found a 33-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound. They aided the victim until medics arrived, and Columbus Fire transported him to a local hospital, where he died several hours later.
