Police investigating groping incident aboard Staten Island MTA bus

NEW YORK, NY – NYPD detectives in Staten Island are searching for a man wanted for groping a woman aboard an MTA bus on Sunday.

Police said the unidentified male approached the 26-year-old female victim at around 5:45 pm in the area of Hyland Boulevard and Lindberg Avenue. The incident occurred inside the MTA SIM1C bus.

The suspect grabbed the woman by her buttocks and exited the bus, fleeing southbound on Hyland Boulevard. The woman was not injured physically during the assault.

Police described the suspect as a light skinned male, approximately 20-30 years of age, 5’4-5’5”, 130-150lbs, blonde balding hair, with acne, last seen wearing a dark gray sweatshirt, dark gray sweatpants, and carrying a backpack.
