Man Shot While Confronting Home Invader In Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – A 22-year-old man was shot early this morning in Western Baltimore. The incident happened at the 500 Block of Payson Street.

At 1:30 am this morning, the Baltimore Police Department arrived at the location to investigate a report of a shooting. There, police found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to his hand. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he is expected to survive.

According to the police after hearing a noise at his rear door, the victim investigated. A person with a firearm stood in the doorway. As the victim attempted to remove the suspect’s weapon, he was shot in his hand. It is unclear in which direction the suspect fled.
