Two Men Shot And Killed in D.C., Suspect Arrested

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Two men were shot and killed on Sunday afternoon in Southeast D.C. This incident happened at the 3300 Block of D Street.

Shortly after 1 pm, the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department arrived at the location to investigate the report of a shooting. Officers found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were pronounced dead by the Medical Examiner.

57-year-old David Wright and 54-year-old Nathaniel Howard, both of D.C. were named as the victims.

An investigation led police to arrest 41-year-old James Jones of Southeast, D.C. on Sunday. The suspect has been charged with Second Degree Murder While armed for both victims. Police determined that the suspect and the victims knew each other.
