Man found shot inside Harlem apartment, NYPD homicide team investigating

NEW YORK, NY – A man shot inside a Harlem apartment on Tuesday was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at NYC Health & Hospitals/Harlem. 40-year-old Bryan Cummings was found shot by police inside an Edgecombe Avenue apartment in Harlem at around 2:00 am.

Police officers from the 32nd Precinct arrived on the scene after receiving a 911 call regarding a gunshot victim. When officers entered the first-floor apartment, they located Cummings with a single gunshot wound to the torso.

At this time, police do not know who shot Cummings or why. No arrests have been made.
