NEW YORK, NY – Police with the city’s 102nd Precinct in Queens announced an arrest that yielded a stolen handgun and a makeshift club right out of the Walking dead. The weapon was seized by police during an arrest Thursday night in Queens.

The makeshift club appeared to be a modified axe handle with spikes at the end where the axe head should be.

Worse, this was the suspect’s second gun arrest of 2023, thanks to the state’s inability to keep repeat offenders behind bars.

“Even though this looks like a zombie apocalypse survival kit, these items were actually possessed by a criminal we arrested. Thanks to officers from the @nypd102pct, these weapons were recovered, including this stolen handgun – marking the suspect’s second gun arrest in 2 months,” the NYPD said in a statement.

The suspect’s name was not released.
