Hail of Gunfire Leave Two Shot One Dead in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – One man was killed and a woman was injured in a shooting that happened at about 9:30 pm last night in Northwest, D.C.

The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating the shooting. At the 1400 Block of V Street, 29-year-old Marvin Johnson, Jr was shot in the stomach. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died. A second victim, a 30-year-old woman was walking down the street on 14th Street when she was struck by a stray bullet. She was taken to a nearby hospital where she is expected to survive.

Multiple gunshots were fired at the scene, damaging two apartments and vehicles that were parked in the area.

No motives have been determined, and no suspects have been arrested.
