Woman shot during domestic dispute in Linden

LINDEN, NJ – A suspect was taken into custody after a woman was shot inside a home in Linden during a domestic dispute Saturday morning.

Linden police responded to the home on the 800 block of Baldwin Avenue at around 10:15 pm after receiving a 911 call reporting a shooting.

When police arrived, they were met outside by the female victim, who stated that she was shot inside the residence during a domestic dispute.

The shooting suspect, who was still inside the home, was arrested and charged without incident. Police did not release the name of the shooter.

The woman was treated on scene and transported to Newark University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police are continuing to investigate.

At this time, police have not revealed the charges against the suspect.
